"It was more than I could have hoped for.  I came away from this seminar with a vast array of knowledge, more than I started with. There are many seminars out there for herd management and neonatal care (which are important), but very few that I have experienced that helps farms decide what they want to breed for and how to do it. Also, I was so impressed with the level of care and thoughtfulness that was shown to me. You guys thought of everything! The facility was comfortable and the atmosphere was conducive to learning. I have an extensive background in marketing and am aware of what it takes to “pull off” a successful seminar. You did that! I never felt pressured to do anything. The information was there for me to decide how to use it to my benefit. I also thank you for the hospitality. The food was fabulous… The scientific approach that you have put together for the alpaca community is impressive. There are so many “opinions” out there that it was quite refreshing to hear facts. By not promoting a personal agenda and basing your entire seminar on scientific data, you created an atmosphere for the exchange of ideas. I was able to ask question and receive information based on facts, not opinion. I now have an understanding of “breed standards” that many on the east coast have been fearful of and am wondering what all the fuss has been about. I am very glad that I participated in your seminar. I appreciate the generosity that you have shown by all the work you have put into developing the EPD’s. I feel that this is an incredibly valuable tool to evaluate my herd. I understand that some may see it as threatening, but I see it as a tool to improve my herd.
